In 2001, five friends from the Merrimack Valley, MA, brought their talent together to form a rock and blues band. While rehearsing on the third floor of a historic Lawrence mill building, they needed a name. As it happened, the rehearsal space was two doors down from the iconic White Street Paint storefront. In 2001, five friends from the Merrimack Valley, MA, brought their talent together to form a rock and blues band. While rehearsing on the third floor of a historic Lawrence mill building, they needed a name. As it happened, the rehearsal space was two doors down from the iconic White Street Paint storefront. A van with “White Street” painted on the side was parked outside. It looked quite cool. And so, White Street Band was born!
